It's all in your control. You get email updates at every step, and you can always log on to our site and track your claim.

* We will reimburse the full item price OR fix your item and ship it back within 5 business days of receiving it at the depot. For large items with in-home service, a local technician will contact you to schedule service within 5 business days of claim approval. (Repair times for in-home service are not guaranteed since repairs are scheduled by the customer.)

Absolutely Hassle-Free Coverage

Manage it online. You can view, print, cancel, transfer, and even file a claim online and keep tabs on its progress.

Cut the paperwork. You never need to keep a copy of a service contract around as it is always available online. You can fax us your item receipt any time, and we'll keep it for you.

Cancel anytime. In the first 30 days, you may cancel for a full refund. After that, you are reimbursed the unused part of your service plan - e.g., if you cancel your 2 year service plan, after 12 months with no claims, you'll get 50% of your money back.

Transfer at no cost. When your device changes ownership, so can your Care Plan. Transfers can be done online or via phone.

No refurbished replacements. The last thing you want when your item breaks down is a cheap refurbished item that is 2 generations old. If your item breaks and can't be fixed, you will be reimbursed your full item replacement cost.

Other Things You Should Know

Upon purchase, you will get an email. This is your official confirmation of a purchase. The email will also have a link to the “My Warranties” section on the SquareTrade website where you can view and manage your Care Plans. You will not get a paper contract unless you request one.

This plan extends your manufacturer warranty for any purchase of an Open-Box Amazon Electronics. SquareTrade coverage starts after the manufacturer warranty ends. For example, if you have a 3 month manufacturer warranty, our coverage starts on Day 91 after item purchase and lasts for one year after that.

We cover you even if there is no manufacturer warranty. If the item has no manufacturer warranty, our coverage starts on Day 31. We will not cover any issues that occurs within 30 days of item purchase.

This Care Plan is ONLY for Open-Box items bought on Amazon. It does not apply to items not bought on Amazon, items that are new in-box and any generation of Refurbished Kindles.

It's only available in the US. SquareTrade is currently only available to residents of the 50 US states.
